Sokar took a big step today. After 3D printing all the gun parts, I loaded up all the airsoft ammo and tried to walk under all the weight. At first it slipped too much on the cork flooring and looked to be getting stuck on carpet. It turns out though it was settings of the walking gait. I played around with the metabot settings on the Android App and lowered the height and alititude which made a big difference. I also wrapped the feet with rubber bands to give them traction. I also noticed speeding up the gate made it smoother too. All and all I am extremely happy with the performance and I think it is a go to try and integrate the rest of the parts. The next big worry is the body mounted gun versus a full 2 axis turret - we shall see. Here is video of it walking with the gun.
